The office suite market is pretty much dominated by two applications: Microsoft Office and OpenOffice.org. So much is the market dominated by those two, that most other suites rarely get any attention. But there are other tools available, worthy of not only your attention, but your budget dollars. Softmaker Office is one of those tools. Not only is Softmaker Office compatible with the de facto standard Microsoft Office, it is also inexpensive, and ready for your Windows mobile devices. But is it right for you? Let's take a look.
Specifications
Who's it for?
Softmaker Office is for any SMB looking to cut costs in the software arena. With solid compatibility with MS Office, Softmaker should meet nearly all of your needs. Larger business can still benefit from Softmaker because of its outstanding Word and Excel compatibility.
What problem does it solve?
Softmaker Office allows businesses on a tighter budget to enjoy a light-weight office suite for far less cost than Microsoft Office and a smaller footprint than OpenOffice.org. And soon Softmaker Office 2010 will release which will include DOCX import and export XLSX import, document tabs, and a more powerful spreadsheet application.
Standout features
What's wrong?
There are a couple of issues I have found with Softmaker Office. The first is the GUI has issues with any Linux desktop running Compiz. When Compiz is enabled the widgets have a tendency to disappear or become garbled.
The other issue is that the presentations cannot handle some of the advanced features like freeform movement paths for images. The presentation application also does not include pre-installed templates, so the user will have to either create their own or search for templates, open them, and save them as a compatible template.
Finally, Softmaker does not include all of the standard tools necessary to complete an office suite. Missing are: a drawing application, a database manager (There is a simple database tool, but nothing along the lines of Base or Access), a formula tool, or a groupware suite.
Competitive productsBottom line for business
Softmaker Office is a solid solution for any budget-conscious office looking for an office suite that is fast, reliable, Microsoft Office-compatible, and ready for both Windows and Linux. If, however, you are looking for an office suite that includes every tool included with Microsoft Office, you might want to look towards OpenOffice.org.

An online office suite, online productivity suite or cloud office suite is an office suite offered in the form of a web application. It is accessed online using a web browser. This allows people to work together worldwide and at any time, thereby leading to web-based collaboration and virtual teamwork.[1] Some online office suites can be installed on-premises, while other are offered only as software as a service. Of the latter, basic versions can be offered for free, while more advanced versions are often made available with a subscription fee. The latest offerings have been created to run as pure HTML5 web pages, known as Progressive Web Apps, no longer requiring a Cloud or online connection to function. Online office suites exist as both, proprietary and open-source software.[2]
Components[edit]
An online office suite may include a broad set of applications, such as the following:

What is 'officesuite 2.0'? I have not heard of it. Is that the exact name on the package and product key sticker?
I googled and found a product with that name from Broderbund.
That is NOT MS OFFICE!
What is the format of the 'serial number'. Microsoft calls them 'Product Keys'. That is what it should say on the sticker. It should be written in 5 groups of 5 characters separated by hyphens.

Go back to the store and ask for an exchange for the REAL MS Office
Here is a wiki describing some of the things to consider when buying MS Office these days
I Need “Office”, What Should I Get: Pros vs Cons – WIKI – buy Office
Check out the wiki I go into more detail outlining these options:
You will have to decide for yourself. You can to trade off long term cost and features If your needs are very simple, you won’t need to spend much or work with one of the free options. But if you are a more “advanced” user, using multiple Office applications and sharing documents/files with others you will have to pay for one of the Office 365/2016 bundles.
It sounds like you have it installed. If that is the case, you can extract the product key from the registry using any of these tools:
http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html - not only does Belarc extract product keys, it reports on a WHOLE BUNCH of other stuff you want to know. Printing the report, or saving it is probably a good idea.

Only the Home and student, Retail ('FPP') edition of Office 2010 comes with 3 concurrent installations. You say you downloaded it, then there should be an email with the product key in it. If you don't have that, you can also try returning to the site that sold it to you. There should still be an account with your information in it.
